Yonder is focused on investing in businesses at the intersection of technology and everyday life with a particular focus on the future of marketplaces, platforms and the SaaS products, Fintechs and Insurtechs that enable them. The syndicate typically invests in businesses that members have advised or know personally. We like to be partners and as a network we are here to help companies and founders.
The typical investment target is startups in the Pre-Seed (post-revenue), Seed and Series A phases though some opportunistic investments happen in the later stages. If you don’t fit in this bucket but still think we would be a good fit don’t hesitate to reach out.

Colin Gardiner is a startup and tech entrepreneur that thinks about everything through an economics lens. He has worked as an early employee at RV rental marketplace Outdoorsy (+$2B GMV), RV insurtech Roamly (+$40M GWP), vacation rental marketplace Tripping.com (+$1B GMV), family history and DNA platform Ancestry (+$4.7B valuation), Q&A marketplace Justanswer and web3 learning platform Cryptohunt.
Within these startups Colin has played critical executive and founder level roles raising over $200M and building industry leading marketplaces. He is an expert in digital marketplaces and platforms with a love for all things growth, monetization, retention, analytics, insurance, finance and unit economics. If you ask him about LTV/CAC he is delighted and happy to dive in deeper.
All of his startup and tech experience is belied by an early career working at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco where he was a Research Associate doing microeconomic research on the labor market and inflation through econometrics and big data before they called it big data. He worked under Janet Yellen (Treasury Secretary and former Fed Chairman). He published multiple articles, research papers and book chapters as well as a widely used inflation dispersion index.
